Why We're Not Actively Developing ISMS Policy Generator Anymore

Keep It Simple, Focused, and Useful

We built ISMS Policy Generator to solve a specific problem: help people quickly create basic ISMS policies. And it did that. It served its purpose, and we're proud of the many users who got value from it. We still support it. If you're using it and it works for you, great! Keep going. We'll fix bugs and make sure it stays operational.

But... we've learned a lot since then. We've seen how people actually work with policies. And honestly, a static, form-based generator, while fast, has limitations. It's like a good set of starter tools – useful, but eventually, you need something more powerful and adaptable.

What We're Focused On Now

The world of compliance is constantly changing. So are the tools. We believe the future of policy creation (and management) isn't about filling out forms. It's about:

• Flexibility: Policies need to be living documents, easily updated and customized.
• Context: You need to understand why a policy is written a certain way, not just what it says.
• Collaboration: Getting feedback and input from your team is crucial.
• Direct, tailored answers: Chatbots can provide this, especially when they can analyze your existing documents.
• Native document generation: Why copy/paste when you can have a chatbot create a .docx directly?

That's why we're putting our energy into ISMS Copilot's AI assistants. They're designed to be more than just generators. They're designed to be partners in your compliance journey. They can, and soon will:

• Review and improve your existing policies.
• Generate and export documents.
• Adapt to your specific needs.

Doing Less, Better

We believe in focus. We can't do everything at once and do it well. So, we're choosing to focus on the tools that we believe offer the most long-term value and flexibility for our users.

ISMS Policy Generator isn't going away. But our active development is going towards the future: AI-powered assistance that's more dynamic, more insightful, and ultimately, more helpful (with file upload or doc generation abilities). We're playing the long game.
