AI is a big opportunity for writers, but not in the way you think.

Most AI-written things sound the same. Using average AIs with the same training data, people "creating" with ChatGPT or equivalent produce something terribly expected.

Nothing surprising, nothing arrogant, nothing courageous.

Data-driven approaches (what works today?) make people risk-averse.

Why writing something a bit different, if it's never been done before, or deviates from what people like today?

This is the best path to cultural stagnation.

People who love writing/creating and dare to take risks will keep producing the most interesting stories, books, videos, marketing copy, and will be rewarded for this in an ocean of average content.
