ISMS Copilot uses AI systems to assist with information security and compliance tasks. Let's be clear about what this means: these systems are sophisticated calculation engines, not sentient beings. They process information using statistical patterns learned from training data - nothing more, nothing less.
When you interact with our platform, you're engaging with a computational system that has been specifically configured to process queries about information security and compliance. It generates responses based on statistical patterns, much like a highly advanced calculator designed for text processing. The system doesn't "understand," "think," or "want" anything - it performs complex mathematical operations to generate relevant outputs based on its training.
These AI systems have specific technical limitations that are important to recognize. They can make mistakes, generate incorrect information, or provide incomplete responses. This isn't because they're "trying" to be difficult or "choosing" to be wrong - it's simply because they're operating within the bounds of their programming and training data.
From a liability perspective, our AI systems provide computational assistance only. All outputs should be treated as preliminary suggestions that require human verification. The responsibility for any decisions or implementations remains entirely with the users and their qualified professionals.
